HOTC Dog Fair 2012
Monte Sano State Park - September 29, 2012

Rally Obedience

In Rally, a dog and handler team complete a course of 10 to 20 designated stations, each station requiring a different skill (sit, down, reverse, etc).  In some ways, it might be considered 'Obedience Light' as it allows verbal commands and encouragement, and has less formality than Obedience Competition.  In a way, it's almost like Simon Says.

Come watch experienced dogs run through the course, then give it a try yourself.  It's a fun challenge, no matter how much training your dog has had.  Prizes are given to all who try.

2011 Demonstration

At 10:00 and 12:15 there will be exhibitions of trained dogs executing a Rally Obedience course.

2011 Public Participation

At 10:15 and 12:30 you will have an opportunity to try your dog handling skills on the Rally course.

Also in the Rally Ring Treat Hide and Seek sessions at 9:15 and 2:00 will introduce you to a new sport where dog can use their sniffing skills to find the hidden cookie. and at 11:30 in the Manners - No Jumping session, an experienced trainer will give you tips to discourage your dog from jumping on people.
